We are Hiring! Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Full Time Systems Administrator to join our Azure team in Limassol.

About the Role

This role is ideal for professionals with strong hands-on experience in hardware, server infrastructure, virtualization (especially Hyper-V and VMs), and cloud-based systems. Unlike traditional support roles, this position focuses primarily on proactive maintenance, configuration, and optimization of physical and virtual infrastructure, rather than ticket escalation or end-user support.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support Management:

  • Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot physical servers, storage systems, and networking hardware.
  • Perform regular health checks and preventive maintenance on hardware and virtual environments.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.

Virtualization & Cloud Systems:

  • Manage and optimize Hyper-V environments, including VM provisioning, performance tuning, and backup strategies.
  • Support hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure (Azure preferred), including virtual networks, storage, and compute resources.

System Monitoring & Automation:

  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts.
  • Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.

Technical Documentation & Best Practices:

  • Document infrastructure configurations, maintenance procedures, and recovery plans.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base and process improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with internal teams to support infrastructure needs for projects and deployments.
  • Provide second-level support for infrastructure-related issues escalated internally.

 

Knowledge and Skills

Essential Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server roles (DC, DNS, IIS, RDS, Clustering) and Linux systems.
  • Proven experience with Hyper-V, virtual machines, and server hardware.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially Microsoft Azure.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar infrastructure-focused role.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (spoken and written).

 Skills:

  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash scripting, and automation tools.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and cloud security.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, Azure).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
